Disabled Iraq Vet & His Wife on their Honeymoon

Tomas and Bree Young came to stand vigil with us here at Camp Casey. They are on their honeymoon. They are my son's age.
He was shot the same day as Casey Sheehan in Iraq. Tomas is paralyzed from the chest down. Because of his disability from his injuries sustained in Iraq he is unable to cool himself naturally so he has to be iced down from time to time. Tomas and Bree have some questions for Bush.

Hey,
Is anyone passing out flyers there? I am so sad to see the protest ending wednesday, and it seems that the corporate media has won by spinning this all about Cindy and her grieving, and now 'look there's just as many Bush supporters'. We have to take the message from here. We have to teach everyone what Cindy and this stand in Crawford is all about. We have to tell them about the lies, and keep telling them.
It is also disappointing that no one will debate Camp Qualls. It is possible that in a controlled setting, where they have to maintain a non reactive composure, the truth might get through. I have been reading what some of them say and they just don't know the truth. They haven't taken a step back to look at the changing rationalizations. They don't know about the Downing Street Memo. Why can't someone reach out in the hopes that maybe even a few minds might change? If this were televised...that would be even better. Isn't this really about taking the truth to the American people?
One more thing, coming up sept 15 both the Resolution of Inquiry will be brought up in congress as well as a hearing on Iraq called for by Lynn Woolsey. We need to take this stand further and demand that our congresspeople start doing their damn jobs in holding this administration accountable. The time is now, and we have the truth on our side. Check out this page(http://benfrank.net/crawford/) for flyers of Bush's lies and Cindy's quotes, including her letter to congress "Dear Congress Weinies"....everyone needs to read this and send something similar along.
!PEACE SOON!
Thanks so much for your blog.
Thanks alaskagyrl,
I feel Camp Casey is the going to become a legend in American Politics. What you, Brad and others like this couple are doing there will eventually make a difference in the course our country takes.
Love you all.

Wonderful site, and thank you for all the illuminating photos! I appreciate those more than anything, because I can't get to Crawford and see.
My best to the Iraq vet and his wife: they're a beautiful couple and I wish them peace, health, and a long life.
To all of you that posted...thanks for the "atta girl" and prayers for this beautiful young coulple. After I met them, photographed them and we talked, I went back to my spot at the table to post the blog. I broke down and cried uncontrollably. Even as i write this I'm crying. It was a very emotional day.
This is a great post, of course, and tough on the eyes. Any more details on this man?
CALL YOUR FRIENDS WHO KNOW BUSH STARTED HIS WAR FOR PROFITS AS YOU AND THOUSANDS OF OTHERS ARE PAYING THE PRICE FOR "HIS" COMFORT, AND ASK THEM TO JOIN YOU IN OUR MARCH FOR JUSTICE AND IMPEACHMENT ON LIES FOR AN UNJUST WAR.
Flood the WHite House with mail demanding the troops be pulled out of Iraq immediately...no more deaths and maiming of our young people for a flawed and forced 'Democracy" in Iraq. Lets make it unavoidably clear to Bush how we feel and that he is beholden to the American people...or suffer Impeachment.
